Resolution 5732 RESOLUTION NO. 5732 WHEREAS, in order to assure an adequate supply of pure water for the residents of the City of Miami Beach, it is deemed advisable to enter into a contract with the Depart- ment of Water and Sewers of the City of Miami by the terms of which the last named agency agrees to furnish and the City of Miami Beach agrees to purchase an adequate supply of water for the ensuing fifteen years, the contract to be automatically extended for an additional ten years unless prior to the begin- ning of the twelfth year one of the parties shall give written notice to the contrary; and W nEREAS, after a series of conferences between repre- sentatives of the parties, final draft of a proposed contract , embodying satisfactory terms, has been prepared and has been approved by the City Attorney as to its form, a copy of which is hereto attached and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, is familiar with the contents of said proposed contract and deems it to the best interest of the City of Miami Beach that the contract should be entered into, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Miami Beach be and they hereby are authorized and directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
