Resolution 5735 RESOLUTION NO. 5735
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to construct a
water supply main across Biscayne Bay on or near North Bay
Causeway, together with necessary pumping equipment and
connections to the Miami Beach water distribution system;
and
hHEREAS, in order to do so it will be necessary to lay
underground mains beneath the waters lying between Normandy
Isle and LaGorce Island in said City on property held by the
Trustees' of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of
Florida, and to lay underground mains beneath the waters lying
along certain bridges which are a part of North Bay Causeway
in lands held by the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund
of the State of Florida,
NCV , THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that City Manager, Claude A. Renshaw,
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to make the necessary
applications for and on behalf of said City to the Trustees of
the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida to lay
underground mains beneath the waters lying between Normandy Isle
and LaGorce Island on property held by said Trustees and to
lay underground mains beneath the waters lying along certain
bridges which are a part of North Bay Causeway in lands held by
said Trustees.
