Resolution 5822 RESOLUTION NO. 5522
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that it is deemed to be to the best
interest of said City to secure the passage, at the 1945 Session
of the State Legislature, of a bill entitled:
"AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 5 OF CHAPTER 9837,
LAWS OF FLORIDA, ACTS OF 1923, ENTITLED:
"AN ACT OF THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF
FLORIDA, GRANTING TO THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF FLORIDA, PAVERS
IN ADDITION TO THOSE CONTAINED IN THIS CHARTER;
TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE HEIGHT, NUMBER
OF STORIES AND SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER
STRUCTURES, THE PERCENTAGE OF LOT THAT MAY BE
OCCUPIED, THE SIZE OF YARDS, COURTS AND OTHER
OPEN SPACES, THE DENSITY OF POPULATION AND THE
REGULATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES
AND LAND FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE CR OTHER
PURPOSES; AND GRANTING POWERS TO CARRY INTO
EFFECT SUCH REGULATION AND RESTRICTION. "
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVE) that copies of this Resolution and
of said Bill be furnished to the Honorable D. C. Coleman, the
Honorable C. Peters, the Honorable George Okell, and the Honor-
able Richard Oelkers, Members of the Florida Legislature from
Dade County, and that they each be respectfully requested to see
that said Bill be introduced and passed at said Session.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 10th day of May, A. D. 1945.
