Resolution 5852 RESOLUTION NO, 5852 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, MAKING A TAX LEVY FOR THE TAX YEAR 1945 AND FIXING THE MILLAGE ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN SAID C ITY. BE IT RESOLVED. BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE .CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That there be, and the same is hereby levied, a tax for the year A. D, 1945, on all real and personal property located within the corporate limits of the 8ity of Miami Beach, Florida, as follows: (A) For the purpose of carrying on the Government or Administration and Finance Department of said City and to provide funds for the support and maintenance of the different City departments, as follows: Mayor and Council; Clerk and Collector's Office; Tax Assessor's Office; City Manager's Office; Personnel and Pension Board; Legal; Fire; ?olioe; Beach Patrol; Engineering; Streets and Bridges; Sewer; Parks and Docks; Water; Building Inspection; Maintenance Public Buildings; Health and Welfare; Waste Collection and Disposal; Recreation; Library and Art Center; Golf Course (Normandy Isle) ; Golf Course (Bay Shore) ; Lighting City; Telephone Exchange; and Miscellaneous; and a reserve for tax discounts and abate- ments and for uncollected taxes; Eighteen (18) Mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all of said property in said City, with the excep- tion of such properties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption, pur- suant to the provisions of an Act known as "Senate Bill #123, " adopted by the State Legislature in 1935, and as later amended, (B) For Publicity and Advertising purposes, and a reserve for tax dis- counts and abatements, One Mill (1) on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all of said property in said City with the exception of such properties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption, as explained above. (C) For Police and Firemen's Pension Fund and a reserve for tax discounts and abatements, One (1) Mill on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all of said property in said City with the exception of such properties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption, as explained above, (D) For the purpose of paying principal and interest due on all outstand- ing bonds of said City that were issued prior to the passage of the Homestead Exemption Act, and for a reserve for tax discounts and abatements and for uncollected taxes Four (4) Mills on the Dollar of the taxable cash value of all property in said City, (E) For the purpose of paying principal and interest due on all outstand- ing bonds of said City that were issued since the passage of the Homestead Exemption Act, and for a reserve for tax discounts and abatements and for uncollected taxes, Four (4) Mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all of said property in said City with the exception of such prop- erties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption,, as explained above, PASSED and ADOPTED this 26th day of July, A, D, 1945, I'I' - / Ma, r ATTEST: City lerk oti r-1 N f-+ Lil C� �U C) DC O cd z z s, O 0 H c4-4 H 0 0 cdc CTI w
