Resolution 5900 RESOLUTION NO. 5900
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, is considering amending and changing certain of the
regulations andrestrictions established and contained in Ordi-
nance No. 289, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City
of Miami Beach, as hereinafter set forth, to-wit :
To amend said ordinance and the maps attached thereto and
made a part thereof so as to place in "BD" Business District and
in Area District No. 19 , as said districts are referred to and
described in said ordinance, the following described property situate,
lying and being in Miami Beach, Florida, bounded as follows :
"Beginning at the Southwest Corner of Section 4,
Township 54 South, Range 42 East , thence North
1 degree and 57 minutes West along the West line
of said Section 4 for a distance of 1360 feet to
a point; thence South 64 degrees 31 minutes East
for a distance of 1630 feet to a point ; thence
North 68 degrees, 23 minutes and 25 seconds East
for a distance of 702.73 feet to a point ; thence
South 64 degrees, 31 minutes East for a distance of 950
feet to a point ; thence South 25 degrees, 29 minutes
West for a distance of 459.40 feet more or less to a
point in the South line of said Section 4 ; thence South
88 degrees, 3 minutes West along the South line of
said Section 4 for a distance of 2740 feet to the point
andplace of beginning. "
and
To amend Section 10 of said ordinance so as to read as
follows :
"SECTION 10.
USE REGULATIONS
"BD" Business District
In "BD" Business District no building or landshall
be used and no building shall be hereafter erected,
constructed, re-constructed or structurally altered
which is designed, arranged or intended to be used
or occupied for any purpose, unless otherwise provided
for in this ordinance, excepting for one or more of
the following uses :
1. Any use permitted in the "BC" Business District.
2. Boat or yacht storage and repair.
3. Building material storage yards.
4. Cast or art stone manufacture.
5. Concrete Block Manufacture.
6. Novelty Works.
7. Marine warehouses .
8. Machine shops.
9. Boat slips.
10. Ship chandlery.
11. Blacksmith, gas, steam fitting shops.
12. Airfields and airports subject to approval and
permit of the City Council.

or other similar enterprises or businesses,
which are not more obnoxious or detrimental
to the welfare of the particular community
than the enterprises or businesses herein
enumerated. All the above businesses, except
airfields and airports, to be conducted within
buildings or within areas enclosed by masonry
walls not less than six (6) feet in height . "
NOW, THERr 'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that a public hearing be and is hereby
called to be held on the 2nd day of January, A. D. 1946, at 10:00
o' clock, A. M. , in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall, '.:iami
Beach, Florida, for the consideration of said amendment .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby directed to give at least fifteen ( 15) days ' notice of the
time, place and object of said hearing by publishing notice thereof
in the Miami Beach Sun and Miami Beach Daily Tropics, a newspaper
of general circulation in said City of Miami Beach in conformity
with Section 21 of Ordinance No. 289 of said City.
