Resolution 6353 RESOLUTION NO. 6353
WHEREAS Herbert A. Frink served with distinction and
honor as Mayor of Miami Beach and Chairman of its City Council
from June 6, 1945, to June 24, 1947; and
WHEREAS he became outstanding in fulfilling the duties
of his office; and
WHEREAS he devoted more of his time, energy and bility
to the welfare of Miami Beach than the office of Mayor required,
having been available day and night to discuss problems with
citizens, regardless of how small the problem or how humble the
citizen; and
WHEREAS he increased good will for Miami Beach among
convention delegates and other visitors 12 months of the year and
gave much of himself to continuing Miami Beach's city government
as one of the nation's most efficiently operated municipalities;
and
WHEREAS he was always alert to finding new ways to make
Miami Beach a better place in which to live and cooperative in his
whole-hearted support of worth-while projects;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVE by the Miami Beach City
Council that a special tribute be paid to Herbert A. Frink for
the exceptional manner in which he served as Mayor and Chairman
of the City Council; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this token of the citizens '
and City Council 's commendation and appreciation of his services
be spread on the minutes of this meeting and a copy of it be framed,
signed by all members of the City Council and presented' to him.
