A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THE FORM
OF BALLOT TO BE USED AT THE
GENERAL CITY ELECTION JUNE 3RD,
1947.
WHEREAS, separate petitions were filed with the City Clerk,
not more than sixty nor less than twenty days prior to the general
election to be held on June 3rd, 1947, asking the following named
persons to be candidates for the office of Councilman for the City
of Miami Beach, to-wit :
WILLIAM BURBRIDGE MARCIE LIBERMAN
SAM GOLD EDWARD L. OWENS
EDWARD HERR RALPH POLE
JAMES PRESTON JEFFRES (JUDGE)MELVIN J. RICHARD
THERESA A. KANTER LOUIS F. (RED) SNEDIGAR
J. C. (JACK) KIMBALL HAROLD TURK
MAURICE (DOC) KLEIN FRANCES 0. WARRINER
AND
WHEREAS, each of said petitions was signed by twenty-five or more
electors of the City of Miami Beach who are qualified to participate
in said general election; and
WHEREAS, each of said above-named candidates so petitioned are
qualified to participate as an elector in the said general election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to cause to be prepared a sufficient number of ballots for
use by absentee voters participating in said general election, pur-
suant to the provisions of the law, which ballot shall be in sub-
stantially the following form:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to cause to be prepared two sets of official ballots for
each polling place for each election district for use in and upon
the voting machines, and to provide two sample ballots as provided by
law for inspection of voters and furnish to the election officials at
each polling place a sufficient number of sample ballots so that one
may be given to each voter desiring same.
