A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPOINTING AND DESIGNATING CLERKS
AND INSPECTORS FOR THE ELECTION
TO BE HELD ON APRIL 27, 1948.
WHEREAS, for the purpose of holding and conducting the Special
Election to be held on April 27, 1948, the City has been divided
into eight voting precincts or election districts, numbered 25 to
32, inclusive, the boundaries of said precincts or districts having
been officially described in Resolution No. 65147 as passed and
adopted by the City Council on March 22nd, 1948, and
WHEREAS, official notice of said election is being published
pursuant to the provisions of Resolution No. 65 .7, passed and
adopted by the City Council on March 22nd, 1948;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That for the purpose of holding and conducting
the said Special Election on April 27, 1948,
eight election boards be provided, the registration books of said
City be divided into eight parts corresponding to the voting
precincts or election districts as heretofore designated, and
that for said purpose Clerks and Inspectors be and they are here-
by appointed and designated as follows :

That Frank Lewis, be and he is hereby appointed, custodian of the
voting machines to be used in this election.
SECTION 2 : That notice of the foregoing appointments be given
by publishing, as prescribed by law, in the Miami
Beach Sun and Miami Beach Daiy Tropics, a newspaper published in
the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of April A. D. 1948.
