SUBJECT: Historic Preservation Board — Recommendation regarding Collins Park Garage
located at 340 23rd Street.
On June 11, 2018, the Historic Preservation Board reviewed and continued an application for a
Certificate of Appropriateness for the Collins Park Garage to a date certain of July 10, 2018.
During the discussion, the Board passed a motion recommending that the Mayor and City
Commission consider the introduction of affordable housing units within the garage in the event
that the Collins Park Art Housing Project located on the northeast corner of 23rd Street and
Liberty Avenue does not proceed.
