A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING AND DESIG-
NATING CLERKS AND INSPECTORS FOR THE ELECTION
TO BE HELD ON MARCH 8, 1949.
WHEREAS, for the purpose of holding and conducting the Special
Elect4.on to be held on March 8, 1949, the City has been divided into
eight voting precincts or election districts, numbered 25 to 32, inclu-
sive, the boundaries of said precincts or districts having been offi-
cially described in Resolution No. 6778 as passed and adopted by the City
Council on January 19, 1949, and
WHEREAS, official notice of said election is being published pur-
suant to the provisions of Resolution No. 6778, passed and adopted by the
City Council on January 19, 1949;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That for the purpose of holding and conducting the said
Special Election on March 8, 1949, eight election boards be
provided, the registration books of said City be divided into eight
parts corresponding to the voting precincts or election districts as here-
tofore designated, and that for said purpose Clerks and Inspectors be
and they are hereby appointed and designated as follows:

Frank Lewis, be and he is hereby appointed, custodian of the voting machines
to be used in this election.
SECTION 2: That notice of the foregoing appointments be given by
publishing, as prescribed by law, in the Miami Beach Florida
Sun, a newspaper published in the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
