BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is here-
by ordered to be made ; the City Council hereby setting forth its in-
tention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-76 Both sides of Sixth ( 6th) Street from Washington Avenue to
Alton Road.; Seventh (7th) Street from Pennsylvania Avenue
to Alton Road; Eighth (8th) Street from Pennsylvania Avenue
to Alton Road; Ninth ( 9th) Street from Washington Avenue to
Alton Road: Tenth (10th) Street from Washington Avenue to
Alton Road; Eleventh (11th) Street from Drexel Avenue to
Alton Road ; Twelfth (12th) Street from Drexel Avenue to Merid-
ian Avenue ; Thirteenth (13th) Street from Washington Avenue
to Meridian Avenue ; Fourteenth (14th) Street from Washington
Avenue to Meridian Avenue ; Fourteenth ( 14th) Place from Penn-
sylvania Avenue to Meridian Avenue ; Fifteenth (15th) Street
from Washington Avenue to Alton Road; Sixteenth ( 16th) Street
from Washington avenue to Alton Road.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of ornamen-
tal posts and lamps at approximately seven hundred sixty
(760) feet apart on each side with underground connections
for lighting.
As said Streets, Avenues, Road and Place are shown on
plats recorded in Plat Book Two ( 2) , Page Eighty-one (81) ,
Plat Rook Seven (7) , Page Fifteen (15) ; Plat Book Four
(4) , Page One Hundred twenty-two (122) ; Plat Book Six
( 6) , Pages Five (5 ) , Seventeen (17) and Thirty-four (34) ;
Plat Book Nine (9) , Pages Sixty-nine ( 69) and Seventy
(70) of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, and
as said Avenues are named and designated in City of Miami
Beach OrdinancesNo. 232 and No. 303.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, Plans and Specifications of said improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses
of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence of
the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates, the
printing and publication of notices and proceedings, the preparation of
bonds, interest during construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. ;
and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceed-
ings and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be
assessed against each front foot of abutting property.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Whitewa.y Improvement WW-76, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be desig-
nated as WW-76.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 20th DAY OF April A.D. 1949
