A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING
THE PERSONNEL BOARD OF SAID CITY TO PRE-
PARE AND SUBMIT TO THE CITY COUNCIL AN
AMENDMENT TO THE PERSONNEL RULES PROVIDING
FOR INCREASED CREDITS OF ANNUAL LEAVE FOR
REGULAR EMPLOYEES HAVING OVER TEN YEARS OF
CONTINUOUS CITY EMPLOYMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to recognize and re-
ward Regular City Employees who have served long and faithfully
the City' s interests, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that in-
creased efficiency will result from longer vacation periods and
more security against illness for Regular City Employees of long
experience and service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
request the Personnel Board of the City of Miami Beach to prepare
and submit to the Council for its approval, an amendment to the
Personnel Rules to provide an additional five days of Annual Leave
Credit for those Regular Employees who have served more than ten
years with the City, and an additional ten days of Annual Leave
Credit for those Regular Employees who have served more than
twenty years with the City.
