284-97 RDA RESOLUTION NO. 284-97 A RESOLUTION OF THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (THE IIAGENCYII) APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DUANY, PLATER-ZYBERK, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000. WHEREAS, on September 8, 1993, the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency Board approved Phase I of a professional services agreement for the South Pointe area, with Andres Duany and Elizabeth Plater- Zyberk Architects, Inc. ("DPZ"); and WHEREAS, on December 7, 1994, the Agency approved Phase II of the agreement with DPZ; and WHEREAS, the City Manager authorized an addendum in the amount of $9,500; and WHEREAS, additional work by the consultant is order to develop design guidelines for the neighborhood. necessary in South Pointe NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, that the Agency Board approve an amendment to the Duany, Plater- Zyberk agreement in an amount not to exceed $25,000. (DPZ) TASK 1 TASK 2 TASK 3 TASK 4 TASK 5 TASK 6 TASK 7 SCOPE OF SERVICES: Initiate informal meetings to receive input from City Administration, South pointe Advisory Board (SPAB), and the Department of Development, Design and Historic Preservation, and Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency (RDA). Review preliminary guidelines as originally developed in 1994, revise as appropriate, and present to the City Administration and SPAB for comments. Schedule presentation to City Commission/RDA for referral to the Planning Board and the Land Use and Development Committee. Present guidelines to the Planning Board, the Land Use and Development Committee and SPAB. Make final adjustments to guidelines and regulating plan. Meet with City Commission to receive the Planning Board, the Land Use and Development Committee, and the SPAB reports, and for approval of guidelines and regulating plan. Produce final guidelines and regulating plan in format for incorporation into Zoning Code. AMENDMENT AMOUNT: NOT TO EXCEED $25,000 (Fee Schedule attached). (DPZ) The following hourly rates are in effect for planning and consulting services:* Principal Project Manager Computer/Drafter $175.00 per hour $ 75.00 per hour $ 45.00 per hour *DPZ has agreed to maintain this fee schedule for the completion of the assignment, though higher rates are currently in effect.
