Marjory Stoneman Douglas Ocean Beach Park Dedication

The Administration and the Parks & Recreation Department cordially invites you the
renaming/dedication of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Ocean Beach Park. This will take
place on Friday, February 28, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. at Collins Avenue and 2nd-3rd Street.
Attached, please find the invitation to this dedication. This renaming is a result of a
community request supported by Commission action that was ultimately approved by
referendum in November of 1999.
Please R.S.V.P. to the Parks and Recreation Department, attention Carlos Da Cruz at
(305) 673-7730. Please join us in officially dedicating this beautiful park to an individual
who had committed her entire life to making our world a better place to live.
