Resolution 7227 RESOLUTION NO. 7227
WHER:AS , it appears to the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that in order to accomplish the contemplated
widening of Indian Creek Drive in said City, it will be necessary
to obtain from the owners thereof, a deed of dedication, for street
and sidewalk purposes covering a strip off the east side of that
certain parcel of, land situate in said City described as follows:
Lots 9 and 10 and the northerly 18.75+ feet of
Lot 8, all in Block 3 of SEC= OCEAN FRONT SUB-
DIVISION, according to the amended plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 28, at page 28, of the Pub-
lic Records of Dade County, Florida,
and
WHEREAS, in order to obtain said deed of dedication it
appears that the City is required to acquire, at its expense, from
the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida,
for the benefit of the owners of said land, areas of submerged land
in Indian Creek equal in area at least to the area of the strip of
land to be dedicated as aforesaid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Attorney be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to apply for a deed of conveyance from
the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida,
to A. Ernest Woolfe and Betty Wolfe, his wife, conveying to said
upland owners that certain tract of submerged land described as follows:
That certain parcel of land westerly of and
adjacent to the northerly 18.75+ feet of Lot
8 and all of Lots 9 and 10, Block 3, Amended
Plat of SECOND OCEAN FRONT SUBDIVISION, according
to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat ook 2.8,
at page 28, of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida, bounded as follows :
Commence at the northeasterly corner of Lot 10,
Block 3, Amended Plat of Second Ocean Front Sub-
division, according to the Plat thereof recorded
in Plat Book 28, at page 28, of the Public Rec-
ords of Dade County, Florida; thence run in a
westerly direction along the northerly line of said
Lot 10 and the westerly extension thereof, a dis-
tance of 160.22 feet to the point of beginning of
the parcel of land herein described.
From said point of beginning run in a southerly
direction along a line parallel to the westerly
line of Harding Drive (now Indian Creek Drive)
to the point of intersection with the westerly
extension of a line parallel to and 18.754 feet
southerly of the northerly line of Lot 8 of said
Block 3, said point of intersection being 160.22
feet westerly of the westerly line of Harding
Drive (now Indian Creek Drive) measured along a
line parallel to and 18.75+ feet southerly of the
northerly line of said Lot 8, and its westerly
extension; thence run in an easterly direction
along the aforesaid westerly extension of a line
parallel to and. 18.75+ feet southerly of the
northerly line of Lot 8 to the westerly line of
said Block 3; thence run in a northerly direction
along the westerly line of said Block 3, to the
northwesterly corner of the aforesaid Lot 10; thence
run in a westerly direction along the westerly ex-
tension of the northerly line of the aforesaid Lot
10 to the point of beginning.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to bid for the tract of submerged
land, the sum of 175.00.
