My dear Mr. Fisher,
In accordance with the notice sent to all the subscribers to founder
membership of the proposed Beach Club, a meeting of subscribers was
held at the Roney Plaza at 2 P. M. on April 7th. There were approxi-
mately thirty subscribers present, and about forty-five additional
were represented by proxy.
We have been advised by the Secretary of State at Tallahassee th,3-t
the name of Beach Club vacs not available as there was another ,
corporation of that'-name in Florida, so that it was decided to use
the name' of The Bath Club,

Mr. F. A. Poor presided as chairman of the meeting, and the writer
acted as Secretary. The following officers were elected to serve for
the coming year.

E. G. Stocker, Secretary
J. W. Speidel, Treasurer
In addition a Board of nine Governors was chosen to serve for one
year consisting of the following,

The application for Charter was read.and approved as- were the first
By-Laws of the Club. Those By-Laws are being revised, and a little

later we hope to send each member a copy of them. •
The first meeting of the Board of Governors vas held today, and at
that meeting Mr. E. Mr,. Gould was chosen as chairman of the Building
Committee, Mr. Fred Tod, and Mr. J. W. FitzGerald as the other
members.

Mr. Robert H. Taylor has been chosen as the architect, and detailed
plans are now being drawn. It is hoped that a contract will be let
prior to the first of June, and that the Club will be completed not
later than December 1st.
The Club office will remain in this address until January 1st, 1928,
and there will always be someone here to answer any inquiries re-
garding the Club which may be addressed hero.
