HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
H-346 H-346
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
H-346 Dickens Avenue from Seventy-first ( 71st) Street to a
point at or near the northerly line of Normandy Beach
South, and from Seventy-fifth (75th) Street to Tatum
Waterway Drive; Tatum Waterway Drive from a point at
or near the northerly line of Seventy-ninth (79th)
Street to a point at or near the northerly line of
Eighty-first (81st) Street, and Byron Avenue from a
point at or near the northerly line of Eighty-first
(81st) Street to a point at or near the northerly line
of Haynsworth Beach Subdivision, to be paved, and where
heretofore paved to be repaved to a width of forty-four
(Li i ) feet with a bituminous wearing surface on a ten
(10) inch rock base, together with necessary drainage,
sewer inlets , manholes and catch basins, and improved
on both sides with a concrete curb and gutter.
As said Avenues, Drive and Street and Subdivision are
shown on Plats recorded in Plat Book Twenty-one (21 ) ,
Page Fifty-four (54) , Plat Book Eight (8) , Page e Forty-one
(41 ) , and Plat Book Forty-one (41) , Page Two (2) of
the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, and as said
Dickens Avenue, 71st Street, ?9th Street and 81st Street
are named and designated in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
city Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an
estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of
the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and
superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and specifications
and estimates, the printing and publication of notices and proceedings,
the preparation of bonds, interest during!' construction, legal services,
abstracts , etc. , and any other expenses necessary and proper in conduct-
ing the proceedings and work heroin provided for; and the estimated
amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated as District H-346, and is
described as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on Dickens
Avenue and lying between 71st Street and a point at
or near the northerly line of Normandy Beach South
and lying between 75th Street and Tatum Waterway Drive;
all the lots or parcels of land abutting on Tatum
Waterway Drive and lying between a point at or near
the northerly line of 79th Street and a point at or
near the northerly line of 81st Street, and all of the
lots or parcels of land abutting on Byron Avenue and
lying between a point at or near the northerly line
of 81st Street and a point et or near the northerly
line of Haynsworth Beach Subdivision.

This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Highway Improvement H-346, and the property against
which assessments therefor maybe made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as District H-36.
