A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THE FORM OF BALLOT
TO BE USED AT THE GENERAL ELECTION JUNE 5TH,
1951.
WHEREAS separate petitions were filed with the City Clerk, at
least sixty days prior to the General Election to be held on June 5th,
1951, asking the following named persons to be candidates for the office
of Councilman of the City of Miami Beach, and also requesting the City
Council to place the names of said persons on the ballot for said
election, to-wit:

AARON H. COURSHON JAMES H. NORTON
JACK DAVIS D. LEE POWELL
J. J. (JACK) FARREY JAMES B. QUINN
AL FEINSTEIN FRITZ RAHN
(JUDGE) BERNARD A. FRANK RAY REDMAN
MEYER (MIKE FAUST) GOLUB BURNETT ROTH
JACK D. GORDON NATHAN SCHWARTZ
SEYMOUR GREENBAUM LOUIS SHAFKIN
BEN M. KEMPLER HAROLD SHAPIRO
MAURICE (DOC) KLEIN JACK SIEGEL

and
WiREAS, each of said petitions was signed by twenty-five or more
electors of the City of Miami Beach who are qualified to vote in said
General Election; and
WHEREAS, each of the above named candidates so petitioned are
qualified to participate as an elector in the said General Election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed
to cause to be prepared two sets of official ballots for each polling
place for each election district for use in and upon the voting machines,
said ballots to list the following names in the order shown, all in
accordance with the provision of the state law governing the use of
voting machines, to-wit:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to provide two sample ballots or instruction ballots as
provided by law for inspection of voters and furnish to the election
officials at each polling place a sufficient number of sample ballots
so that one may be given to each voter desiring same.
