Resolution 7646 RESOLUTION NO. 76+6
RESOLVED, that the City Council of Miami Beach,
Florida, express its warmest appreciation and thanks ,
to: former Mayor ITarold Turk whose efforts were
directly responsible for the creation of a Planning
Board and Citizens ' Planning Committee, who so
diligently and unselfishly have devoted their efforts
for the past year and a half to compiling a "Plan for
Miami Beach", which plan contributed immeasurably to
the success of the Bond Election; City Manager Claude
A. Renshaw, who has so faithfully and competently
directed our City for many years along the road of
progress and development and who is directly responsible
for its sound financial status; City Engineer Morris N.
Lipp and his staff who so successfully coordinated the
various projects; Assistant City Manager H. Milton Link
who so vitally contributed to the many phases of city
planning and whose many appearances before the public
explained many of the facts and background of the
issues involved; and to Public :lelations Director Hank
Meyer, whose educational program in connection with
the Bond :;lection resulted in a well-informed citizenry
that went to the polls and because of their knowledge
of the need for the various recommended issues, voted
favorably on the seventeen issues.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that written evidence of
our appreciation to those whose cooperation, support
and perseverance initiated and carried through to a
successful conclusion the program that will assure our
present progress and insure the future development of
our great City, be incorporated in the minutes of the
City Council meeting of June 6, 1951.
