RESOLUTION NO. 7763
WHITE'iAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WW-101 WW-101
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-101 Both sides of Lenox Avenue from Fourth (4th) Street
to Fifth (5th) Street.
To be improved with a whitevray lighting system of
ornamental posts and lamps at approximately two
hundred (200) feet apart on each side with under-
ground connections for lighting.
As said Avenue and Streets are shown on Plats
recorded in Plat Book Two (2 ) , Page Eighty-one (81) ,
Plat nook Six (6) , rage Sixty-two( 62) , Plat Book
Twenty-six (26 ) Page Sixty-two (62 ) , and Plat Book
Thirty-eight (3 ) , Page Sixty-nine ( 69) of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida, and as
said Lenox Avenue is named and designated in Ordinance
No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an
estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of
the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and
superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and specifica-
tions and estimates, the printing and publication of notices and pro-
ceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during construction,
legal services, abstracts , etc. , and any other expenses necessary and
proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein provided for; and
the estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutting
property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-101, and is
described as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on Lenox
Avenue and lying between Fourth (4th) Street and
Fifth Street.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property, the
City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion
of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as
the length of the street intersections bears to the total street frontage
within the district.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-101, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated
as District WW-101.
