Morales, City Manager flI9' PPp- -tar DATE: August 02, 2018 SUBJECT: Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium Irrigation The purpose of this LTC is to notify the City Commission that the Parks and Recreation Department will be temporarily closing the Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium for the installation of a new irrigation system. The work will begin on Monday, August 6, 2018, and should take three weeks to complete, weather permitting. After completion of the installation phase, the new sod will require an additional four weeks of rest time in order to properly root and establish. During the entirety of the project, approximately seven weeks, the stadium will remain closed. Since the improvements are being performed outside of the baseball season, the closure will not represent a significant impact.
