Resolution 8108 RESOLUTION NO. 8108 WHEREAS, we, in Miami Beach, have had the privilege of enjoying wonderful evenings of music and entertainment during this past summer; and WHEREAS, the diversified "Pop" concerts appealed to and fulfilled the aesthetic and cultural needs and desires of our residents and visitors alike; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the members of the City Council of Miami Beach, Florida, unanimously tender our sincere expressions of appreciation and grati- tude to Mrs. Marie Volpe, manager; John Bitter, conductor; the members of the University of Miami Symphony Orchestra; the members of the Symphony Club Pop Concert Committee and all others identified with the success of the concerts for the time and concentrated personal efforts they devoted towards producing an outstanding 1952 Summer Symphony Seascn. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be sent to Mrs. Volpe; Mr. Bitter; the University of Miami Symphony Orchestra; and Mrs . Albert Pick, President of the Symphony Club Pop Concert Committee, as a tangible record of our very high regard. PASSED and ADOPTED this 10th day of September, A.D. 1952.
