Resolution 8167 RESOLUTION NO. 8167
WHEREAS, it has been twenty-five years since the initial
program for beach protection was prepared, and
WHEREAS, there nave been many changes in the condition
of our beaches and our economy during that period, and
WHEREAS, the protection and ultimate stabilization of
our beaches, both public and private , is of extreme import-
ance to our present and future economy,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Engineer be
and he is hereby instructed to make the necessary surveys and
prepare plans and recommendations for a comprehensive pro-
tection and stabilization project covering the oceanfront
throughout the entire length of the City, as a guide for the
City Council in considering individual projects from time to
time .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of November, A. D. 1952.
