BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the Mowing described improvement is hereby ordered to
be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its intention to proceed under
Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-116 Both sides of Biscayne Street from Jefferson Avenue to Washington
Avenue.
To be improved with a whitevray lighting system of ornamental
posts and lamps at approximately one hundred fifty (150) feet
apart on each side with underground connections for lighting.
As said Street and Avenues are shown on Plats recorded in
Plat Book Six (6) Page Seventy-seven (77) . Plat Book Two
(2) Pages Thirty-eight (38) and Eighty-one (81) of the Pub-
lic Records of Dade County, Florida, and as said Biscayne
Street and Jefferson Avenue are named and designated in
Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is herebf directed to prepare and to file with the City Clerk,
plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof,
1 including an estimate of the cost of the expenses of preliminary and other sur-
veys, the inspection and superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans
and specifications and estimates, the printing and publication of notices and
proceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during construction, legal ser-
vices, abstracts, etc., and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting
the proceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be
assessed against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assesanents are to be made for the cost of such im-
provement is hereby designated as District WW-116 and is described as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on Biscayne
Street and lying between Jefferson Avenue and Washington
Avenue.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the City
Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion of the total
cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as the length of the street
intersections bears to the total street frontage within the district,
This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments and bonds as
Whiteway Improvement WW-116, and the property against which assessments therefor
may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated as District VFW-7.16.
