R E S O L U T I ON
NO. 8620
WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL OF MIAMI BEACH HEARTILY ENDORSES
THE EFFORTS OF THE MIAMI BEACH BOXING COMMISSION -- F. B.
AOAE, CHARLES F. WHEELER, LOU GOLD, LOUIS AUERBACH AND
SAUL MERINGOFF -- TO ENCOURAGE AND LIFT TO EVEN HIGHER
STANDARDS THE BOXING EVENTS HELD WITHIN THE ENVIRONS OF
THE CITY; AND
WHEREAS, THE MEMBERS OF THIS IMPORTANT COMMITTEE HAVE
UNSELFISHLY AND UNREMITTINGLY DEVOTED THEIR TIME AND
SERVICES TOWARDS THIS GOAL;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT AN INDIVIDUAL EXPRESSION OF COMMENDA-
TION AND APPRECIATION BE SENT TO THE MEMBERS OF THE
MIAMI BEACH BOXING COMMISSION FOR THE EMINENTLY SATIS-
FACTORY MANNER IN WHICH THEY HAVE CONDUCTED THEIR DUTIES.
IT IS THROUGH THEIR INITIATIVE, RESOLVE, AND DISINTERESTED
SUPPORT THAT THIS SPORTING ACTIVITY IN MIAMI BEACH HAS
ATTAINED ITS WELL-DESERVED POPULAR ACCLAIM AND MERITED
REPUTATION.
OUR SINCERE CONGRATULATIONS FOR A JOB WELL DONE:
