Resolution 9097 RESOLUTION NO. 9097
WHEREAS, the Dade County Commissioners are empowered to
establish uniform closing hours for places in Dade County where
alcoholic beverages are sold; and
WHEREAS, hearings have been called by the Commissioners of
Dade County for the consideration of such uniform regulations
with relation to their effect on different sections of Dade County;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Miami Beach has, over the past
several years, been in close touch with liquor closing hours as
they affect Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, as a result of long experience with and many re-
visions of our regulatory provisions governing closing hours, our
ordinance as it now exists pertaining to such closing hours best
suits the economy of Miami Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach that the Dade County Commissioners be and they
are hereby requested to preserve for Miami Beach substantially
the closing hours provided for in Chapter 15 of the Code of
the City of Miami Beach, 1950, so that the economy of the city
may not be unduly disturbed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of Chapter 15 of the
Code of the City of Miami Beach, 1950, be attached to and made
a part of this resolution.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 13th day of July, 1955.
