SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 2018-249-ZD, for
Miami Beach Convention Center(MBCC) Portable Food Concession and Bar Carts.
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Proposals(RFP) No. 2018-249-ZD, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified firm(s)
for the portable food concession and bar carts at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The City anticipates receiving proposals pursuant to this RFP on Friday, September 14, 2018.The
responsive proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria
established in the RFP.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Laurence A. Herrup, Chairman, Miami Beach Convention Center Advisory Board, City of
Miami Beach
• Danny Medina, General Manager, Centerplate, Miami Beach Convention Center, City of
Miami Beach
• Frederick Peterson, General Manager, Miami Beach Convention Center, City of Miami
Beach
• Heather Shaw, Acting Director, Tourism, Culture, & Economic Development Department,
City of Miami Beach
I am also considering the following individual as an alternate:
• Angelo Grande, Director of Operations, Spectra Venue Management, City of Miami Beach
• Steve Haas, Director of Operations, Centerplate, Miami Beach Convention Center, City
of Miami Beach
