Resolution 9200 RESOLUTION NO. 9200
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has, by its Resolution No . 5746, heretofore desig-
nated holidays for the employees of said City, as follows,
to-wit :
New Year ' s Day
Memorial Day (May 30th)
Fourth of July
Labor Day
Armistice Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas;
and
WHEREAS, no provision was made for those times when
one of the holidays so designated falls upon a Saturday or
Sunday,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that whenever any of the holi-
days designated in Resolution No . 5746 shall fall upon a Saturday
then in such event, so far as the employees of the City of Miami
Beach are concerned, such holiday shall be deemed to have fallen
upon the preceding Friday .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that whenever any of the holidays
designated in said Resolution No . 5746 shall fall upon a Sunday,
then in such event, so far as the employees of the said City
are concerned, such holiday shall betbemed to have fallen upon
the succeeding Monday.
PASSED and ADOPTED this nth day of January , 1956.
