SUBJECT: Miami-Dade County Emergency Beach Renourishment Project- Phase 2
The purpose of this LTC is to provide an update to the Mayor and City Commission on
Miami-Dade County's emergency truck haul beach renourishment project.The first phase of
the project from 66th Street to 68th Street is almost complete. The County will now begin
phase 2 which will address areas of erosion from 64th Street to 63`d Street. Attached is the
project information sheet that has been delivered to the properties adjacent to the project.
The county will begin preparing the site on September 14, 2018 and the project is
anticipated to be completed by the end of November 2018. The contractor will be operating
from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm from Monday through Friday. During the construction period, the
contractor will access the beach through Allison Park.
Beach access points adjacent to construction zone will be closed during the length of the
project. The City will continue to work closely with Miami-Dade County to inform impacted
parties and ensure that accurate information regarding the project is available.

SCHEDULE PROJECT DESCRIPTION
