Resolution 9260 RESOLUTION NO. 9260 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach deems it to be necessary to increase the width of that portion of Meridian Avenue lying northward of its intersection with Nineteenth Street to Dade Boulevard, and WHEREAS, in order to increase the width of Meridian Avenue, as aforesaid, it will be necessary to acquire the fee simple title to the westerly three feet of the following several parcels of land on the easterly side of Meridian Avenue, to wit: Parcel 1 : the northerly one hundred sixty-six and nine-tenths (166.9) feet less the southerly sixty-six and nine-tenths (66.9) feet of Lot 1, Block 7A, of AMENDED GOLF COURSE SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 6 at page 26 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida ; Parcel 2: the northerly fifty (50) feet of Lot 1, Block 7A, of AMENDED GOLF COURSE SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in the Plat Book 6, page 26 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Parcel 3: the southerly sixty-six and nine-tenths (66.9) feet of Lot 1, Block 7A, of AMENDED GOLF COURSE SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 6 at page 26 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Parcel 4: Lot 2, Block 7A of AMENDED GOLF COURSE SUBDIVISION, according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 6 at page 26 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; and WHEREAS, Dorothy White, a single woman, has indicated her willingness to convey to the said City the fee simple title to the said westerly three feet of said Parcel 1 for the sum of $1,000.00 cash; and Moe Horowitz and Ann Horowitz, his wife, have indicated their willingness to convey to the said City the fee simple title to the said westerly three feet of said Parcel 2 for the sum of $400.00 cash; and Tessie Torok, a widow, has indicated her willingness to convey to the said City the fee simple title to the said westerly three feet of said Parcel 3 for the sum of $575.00, and in addition thereto, the sum of $50.00 as the reasonable attorney' s fee for the services of her attorney; and Florry Katz Loeb, a single woman, has indicated her willingness to convey to the said City the fee simple title to the said westerly three feet of said Parcel 4 for the sum of $295.00 cash; and 2,3 y D -1- IOFFICE OF CITY ATTORNEY - CITY HALL - MIAMI BEACH 39, FLORIDA 7_ _ • WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared agreements setting forth the terms and conditions upon which said Owners will convey the fee simple titles to the said westerly three feet of the said parcels of land, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the best interest of the City to acquire said land on the terms and in the manner set forth in the agreements, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreements in the name of and on behalf of said City. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to carry out the terms of said agreements for and in behalf of said City and the disbursing officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay out such sums of money as the City is obligated to pay out under the terms of said agreements, from the funds of said City available for such purpose.
