RESOLUTION NO. 9280
WHEREAS, the agreement heretofore entered into by
and between the City of Miami Beach and the Humane Society of
Greater Miami (S.P.C .A. ) , a Florida Non-Profit Corporation,
providing for the proper control and care of strayed and
injured animals expires by its terms on the 30th day of
September, 1956, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to be to the best interests of the City of Miami Beach
to renew said agreement for an additional term of five (5) years
commencing October 1, 1956, on the same terms and conditions
as therein set forth, with the exception that the monthly payments
called for by said Renewal shall be at the rate of Four Hundred
Dollars ($400.00) per month, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an agreement
by the terms of which said agreement is extended for an
additional five (5) year period terminating on September 30, 1961,
upon the same terms and conditions as set forth in the original
agreement between the parties, with the exception that the monthly
payments called for by said renewal agreement are at the rate
of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) per month, and the City Council
being familiar with the terms of said agreement and renewal
thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement in the name of and on behalf of said City.
