WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT WW-128 DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its intention
to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter :
WW-128 Both sides of Twenty-first (21st) Street and Twenty-second
(22nd) Street from Collins Avenue to a point at or near
four hundred twenty-five (425) feet East of Collins Avenue,
and both sides of that certain unnamed street parallel to
and three hundred sixty (360) feet,more or less, East of
Collins Avenue from Twenty-first (21st) Street to Twenty-
Second (22nd) Street.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of ornamental
posts and lamps at approximately one hundred fifty (150)
feet apart on each side with underground connections for
lighting.
As said Twenty-first (21st) Street, Twenty-second (22nd)
Street and Collins _venue are shown on Plat recorded in
Plat Book Five (5) , Page Seven (7) of the Public Records
of Dade County,Florida, and as said Twenty-first (fist)
Street and Twenty-second (22nd) Street are named and
designated in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the City
Clerk,plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate of the
cost thereof,including an estimate of the cost of the expenses of pre-
liminary and other surveys,the inspection and superintendence of the work,
the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates ,the printing and
publication of notices and proceedings,the preparation of bonds,interest
during construction,legal services ,abstracts ,etc. , and any other expenses
necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein provided
for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot of
abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvements is hereby designated as District WW-128, and is
described as follows :
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on
Twenty-first (21st) Street and Twenty-second (22nd)
Street, and lying between Collins Avenue and a point
at or near four hundred twenty-five (425) feet East
of Collins Avenue, and all of the lots or parcels
of land lying between Twenty-first (21st) Street and
Twenty-second (22nd) Street, and abutting on that
certain unnamed street parallel to and three hundred
sixty (360) feet,more or less, East of Collins Avenue.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the
City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion

of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost
as the length of the street intersections bears to the total street
frontage within the district.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings , assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-128, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated
as WW-128.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 16th DAY OF January, A.D. 1957.
