WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WW-131 WW-131
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its intention
to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-131 Both sides of Sixteenth (16th) Seventeenth (17th)
Eighteenth (18th) Twentieth (20th) and Twenty-Fifth
(25th) Streets from Collins Avenue to the Atlantic
Ocean .
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of orna-
mental posts and lamps at approximately one hundred fifty
(150) feet apart on each side with underground connections
for lighting.
As said Collins Avenue , Sixteenth (16th) Seventeenth (17th)
Eighteenth (18th) Twentieth (20th) and Twenty-fifth (25th)
Streets are shown on Plats recorded in Plat Book Two (2) ,
Page Seventy-seven (77) and Plat Book Five (5) , Pages Seven
and Eight (7 & 8) of the Public Records of Dade County,Florida,
and as said Collins venue and said Streets are named and
designated in Ordinance 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the City
Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate of the
cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses of prelim-
inary and other surveys , the inspection and superintendence of the work,
the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates , the printing
and publication of notices and proceedings , the preparation of bonds ,in-
terest during construction, legal services , abstracts , etc. , and any other
expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work Fe e-
in provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each
front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-131, and is described
as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on Sixteenth
(16th) Seventeenth (17th) Eighteenth (18th) Twentieth (20th)
and Twenty-fifth (25th) Streets , and lying between Collins
Avenue and the Atlantic Ocean.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property, the
City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion
of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as the
length of the street intersections bears to the total street frontage
within the district.

This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as olhiteway Improvement WW-131, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated
as District WW-131.
