which will cross Biscayne Bay and connect the City of Miami
and the City of Miami Beach and which is commonly referred
to as the 36th Street Causeway; and

of the Mt. Sinai Hospital; and

area, consisting of approximately 4 acres, and lying adjacent
to and southerly of Collins Island, is filled and bulkheaded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the State Road
Department of Florida be and it is hereby requested to eliminate
the planned twin structures just southeast of Collins Island
and replace them with fill and to bulkhead and fill the area,
consisting of approximately 4 acres lying adjacent to and
southerly of said Collins Island.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Miami Beach
recognizes that there will be no responsibility on the part
of the State Road Department of Florida for a change in
construction at a later date in the event a condition develops
requiring an opening in the fill as originally designed and
recommended by the State Road Department.
