SUBJECT: THIRD ANNUAL MIAMI BEAC YOUTH MUSIC FESTIVAL — CALL FOR
ARTISTS
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the Mayor and City Commission of the exciting
partnership between the City of Miami Beach and The Rhythm Foundation to produce the
Third Annual Miami Beach Youth Music Festival. Scores of local youth musicians will have
a chance to showcase their talents and compete for a coveted spot on the Clark D. Burris
stage at the North Beach Bandshell.
A panel composed of pioneers in the music industry will select the acts based on video
submissions of up to two songs along with a completed application. Bands and individual
performers interested in auditioning must be 18 years and younger and either reside in
Miami Beach, attend a Miami Beach School or be the child of a City of Miami Beach
employee.
Those who wish to audition must submit a video recording (YouTube links encouraged) of
up to two songs via email to infonorthbeachbandshell.com by Friday, December 14,
2018 at 5:00 p.m., along with a completed application that can be found at
www.miamibeach.rocks. Selected youth performers will be announced on or before
Friday, January 18, 2019.
On Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the place to be is at the North
Beach Bandshell, as the youth performers take the stage to rock out under the stars with
a special guest closing out the show. Further details on the festival will be distributed as
the date approaches.

Smoking,illegal drugs and alcohol are prohibited.Animals are not permitted;only service dogs.
**There will be a required fifteen (15)minute set minimum and sets shall not exceed twenty(20)minutes.
