BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the proposal of Halsey, Stuart & Co. Inc, and Associates,
as submitted by J. P. Higley, for all of the bonds specified
in said proposal, which bonds were authorized by the City Council in
Resolution No. 10138, passed and adopted on June 17, 1959, is hereby
determined to be the highest and best bid received for all of said
bonds, said proposal being in the words and figures following:

For $160,000 City of Miami Beach, Florida, Series 2,
"1959 Sanitary Sewer Bonds" as described in the attached $1,335,000
notice of sale, which is herebyimade a part of this bid,
we will pay for 3 3/`f % bonds CITY OF
One Hundred Fifty Five Thousand
Nine Hundred Nineteen and X34/rIbCs MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
($155,91I1aaccrued interest to date of delivery.
For $1,100,000 City of Miami Beach, Florida, Series PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT

We enclose herewith certified or bank cashier's check
in the amount of 2% of the par value of bonds bid for,
made payable to the City of Miami Beach, which en-
closure is to be returned to us if this bid is not accepted,
but otherwise to be deposited by said City and when the
bonds are delivered and paid for under the terms of this
bid, to be considered as an advance part payment there-
for, or it is to be retained by said City as and for liqui-
dated damages in case the undersigned fails to take up
and pay for said bonds in accord herewith.
We will accept delivery of bonds at the Chemical
Bank New York Trust Company, 30 Broad Street, New

The aggregate amount of interest maturing on said
bonds, computed from September 1, 1959 to the absolute
maturity dates of said Bonds, at the interest rate stated
in the above Proposal, after deducting the premium, if Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 A.M.,any, or adding the dOcou discount, in the above Pro-
poral is $ 760,66o Eastern Standard Time, on October 7, 1959.
(No addition or alteration,except as provided above,
is to be made to this Proposal).
NOTE: Use additional Proposal form in case you wish
to make an alternate bid.

SECTION 2: That said bid be and it is hereby accepted and that said
bonds are hereby sold to said bidder for the amount of said
bid and it is hereby deemed to be the best price obtainable for all of
said bonds; and
SECTION 3: That the said $1,335,000.00 Public Improvement Bonds, to
be issued in three series, designated Series 1, 2, and 5,
shall all bear interest at the rate of three and threes-quarters per
cent (3 3/4%) per annum,
