Resolution 10327 RESOLUTION NO. 10327
WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Dade
County, Florida, by its ordinance duly passed and adopted on
March 24, 1960, called a special election to be held on
Tuesday, May 3, 1960 for the purpose of submitting to the
qualified electors of Dade County, Florida, who are freeholders,
the question whether general obligation bonds of Dade County,
Florida, should be issued in the aggregate principal amount of
$46,000,000 .00 for the purpose of constructing portions of a
system of hard-surfaced highways and bridges within Dade County
and acquiring necessary rights of way therefor, and acquiring
additional rights of way for such system, and
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach will benefit,
directly and indirectly, in the event that the qualified
electors of Dade County who participate in said election approve
the issuance of said bonds, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
deems that the approval of said bond issue would be for the
best interests of the citizens of Dade County and of the City
of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Council
recommends that the qualified electors of Dade County, Florida,
and of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, participate in said
bond election and to approve the issuance of said bonds by
casting an affirmative vote therefor.
