BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the proposal of John Nuveen & Co. Inc. for bonds
specified in said proposal, which bonds were authorized by
the City Council in Resolution No. 10138, passed and adopted on June 17,
1959, is hereby determined to be the highest and best bid received for
said bonds, said proposal being in the words and figures following:

For $164,000 City of Miami Beach, Florida, Series
11. "Community Center and Teen-Age Activities
Building Bonds", as described in the attached notice
of sale, which is hereby made a part of this bid, we
will pay for

We enclose herewith certified or bank cashier's
check in the amount of 2% of the par value of bonds MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
bid for, made payable to the City of Miami Beach,
which enclosure is to be returned to us if this bid PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
is not accepted, but otherwise to be deposited by
said City and when the bonds are delivered and BONDS
paid for under the terms of this bid, to be considered
as an advance part payment therefor, or it is to
be retained by said City as and for liquidated
damages in case the undersigned fails to take up
and pay for said bonds in accord herewith.

The aggregate amount of interest maturing on said
bonds, computed from September 1, 1960 to theI
absolute maturity dates of said Bonds, at the interest
rate stated in the above Proposal, after deducting
the premium, if any,or adding the discount,specified
in the above Proposal is $ 97,879.30
(No addition or alteration, except as provided Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 A.M.,
above, is to be made to this Proposal). Eastern Standard Time, on September 7, 1960.
NOTE: Use additional Proposal form in case you
wish to make an alternate bid.
SECTION 2: That said bid be and it is hereby accepted and that
said bonds are hereby sold to said bidders for the
amount of said bid and it is hereby deemed to be the best price
obtainable for all of said bonds; and
SECTION 3: That the said $164,000.00 Public Improvement Bonds, to
be issued in one series, shall bear interest at the
rate of three and one-half per cent (3 1/2%) per annum.
