Resolution 10791 RESOLUTION NO. 10791
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be to the best interest of the City to purchase,
for highway purposes, that certain parcel of land situate in Miami
Beach, Dade County, Florida, described as follows, to wit:
A portion of Lot 1, Block 11 of ALTON BEACH REALTY
COMPANY'S ISLAND VIEW SUBDIVISION, according to the
plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 6, page 115 of
the public records of Dade County, Florida, bounded
as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the westerly boundary
line of said Lot 1 with the southerly boundary of 19th
Street; thence run easterly along said southerly boundary
of 19th Street 164.65 feet to the Point of Curvature of
a circular curve deflecting to the right, said curve having
for its elements a radius of 16.52 feet and a central angle
of 150°37 '24", said Point of Curvature being the Point of
Beginning of the portion of Lot 1 herein described;
Thence run southerly along the arc of the above described
circular curve 43.43 feet to the Point of Tangency of said
curve on the southerly boundary line of said Lot 1;
Thence run easterly along the southerly boundary line of said
Lot 1, 15.98 feet to the Point of Curvature of a circular curve
deflecting to the left, said curve having for its elements
a radius of 12.33 feet and a central angle of 150°37 '24";
Thence run northerly along the arc of said circular curve
32.41 feet to the point of tangency of said curve on the
aforesaid southerly boundary of 19th Street;
Thence run westerly along the southerly boundary of 19th
Street 15 .98 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing
302 square feet, more or less; and
WHEREAS, Barry D. Meiselman and Toba Meiselman, his wife,
the owners of said land, and Publix Super Markets, Inc., a Florida
corporation, lessee under a long term lease covering the said land,
have agreed to convey their respective interests in said land to the
City for the sum of $900.00 in cash, the property to be conveyed
subject to restrictions common to the neighborhood, zoning ordinances
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida and taxes for the year 1962 which
are to be assumed by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to purchase said property on behalf of
said City at said price.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the disbursing officers of
said City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make
the expenditures necessary for said purpose out of funds of the
City available therefor.
