Resolution 11240 RESOLUTION NO. 11240
WHEREAS, John and Johanna Bass have heretofore given to
the City of Miami Beach for the benefit of its citizens, res-
idents and visitors the numerous art treasures which constitute
the Bass Art Gallery, and
WHEREAS, the said John Bass and Johanna Bass have donated
additional art treasures, and funds to the said City, all as
set forth and specified in the communication to said City from
the said John and Johanna Bass dated May 29, 1964, a copy of
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said gift be and
the same is hereby accepted by the said City of Miami Beach,
and that the City Council of the said City of Miami Beach
desires to express for itself and for the citizens and res-
idents of said City its sincere and deep appreciation to the
said John and Johanna Bass for their generous benefactions
to said City, its citizens and residents.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of June, 1964.
