Resolution 11273 RESOLUTION NO. 11273
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that it and each individual member thereof
desires to formally acknowledge its indebtedness to, and its
appreciation to all those department heads, their respective
wives, and to all those employees of the various departments
who generously volunteered their time and services to aid and
help in the extension of hospitality and entertainment of the
delegates to the American Municipal Association during its
convention in the City of Miami Beach, July 25-29, 1964, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is the consensus of the
City Council that the tireless efforts of the said volunteers
in said regard manifests the loyalty and devotion of the
City' s personnel to the best interests of the City, and that
devotion over and above the call of duty contributed greatly
to the success of said American Municipal Association conven-
tion, which attracted the largest registration of any previous
convention in the history of the Association, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager consider ways
and means to appropriately reward or compensate said partici-
pating City personnel for their said exemplary service to the
City during said Convention.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 1964.
