Resolution 12431 RESOLUTION NO. 12431
WHEREAS an agreement has been reached between the
City of Miami Beach and the Dade County Board of Public Instruction
for the construction of an educational complex of a most modern
concept and designzon the land commonly known as the Par 3 Golf
Course, and
WHEREAS said agreement between the City of Miami
Beach and the said School Board provides for the acquisition
by the City from the School Board of the six schoal properties
which will be rendered surplus by the construction of said
educational complex for a consideration of $4,705,000. 00,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Miami Beach
Planning Commission be and it is hereby requested to make an
in-depth study and analysis of these properties for the purpose
of determining their present and future adaptability and use
for recreational and other community purposes and that said
Miami Beach Planning Commission report its findings and
determination to the City Council at its earliest convenience.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning and Zoning
Department and the Recreation Department of the City of Miami
Beach be and they are hereby requested and authorized to cooperate
and assist the said Miami Beach Planning Commission in every
possible way in order to facilitate the study and analysis of
the said school properties by the said Planning Commission.
