Resolution 12457 RESOLUTION NO. 12457 WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WW-147 WW-147 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby ordered to be made : the City Council hereby setting forth its intention to proceed under Section 29 and 30 of the City Charter : WW-147 Both sides of Commerce Street from Jefferson Avenue to Washington Avenue; First (1st) Street from Alton Road to Ocean Drive; Second (2nd) Street from Michigan Avenue to Ocean Drive; Third (3rd) Street from Alton Road to Ocean Drive; Fourth (4th) Street from Washington Avenue to Ocean Drive; Sixth (6th) Street from West Avenue to Ocean Drive; Seventh (7th) Street from Alton Road to Ocean Drive; Eighth (8th) Street from Alton Road to Ocean Drive; Ninth (9th) Street from West Avenue to Ocean Drive; Tenth (10th) Street from West Avenue to Ocean Drive; Twelfth (12th) Street from West Avenue to Michigan Avenue and from Meridian Avenue to Ocean Drive; Thirteenth (13th) Street from West Avenue to Michigan Avenue and from Meridian Avenue to Ocean Drive; Fourteenth (14th) Street from Biscayne Bay to Michigan Avenue and from Meridian Avenue to Ocean Drive; Fourteenth (14th) Terrace from Bay Road to West Avenue; Flamingo Way from Bay Road to West Avenue; Fourteenth (14th) Court from West Avenue to Alton Road; Fourteenth (14th) Place from Meridian Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue; Sixteenth (16th) Street from Bay Road to Washington Avenue; Eighteenth (18th) Street from Lenox Avenue to Meridian Avenue; Nineteenth (19th) Street from Jefferson Avenue to Meridian Avenue. To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of ornamental posts and lamps at approximately two hundred fifty (250) feet apart on each side, together with nec- essary transformers and other appurtenances and with underground connections for lighting. As said Streets, Avenues , Road, Terrace, Way, Court, Place, and Bay are shown on Plats Recorded in Plat Book Two (2) Page Thirty-eight (38) ; Plat Book Two (2) Page Fifty-six (56) ; Plat Book Two (2) Page Eighty-one (81) ; Plat Book Three (3) Page Eleven (11) ; Plat Book Four (4) Page Eighty-three (83) ; Plat Book Four (4) Page One hundred twenty-two (122) ; Plat Book Four (4) Page One hundred twenty-five (125) ; Plat Book Six (6) Page Five (5) ; Plat Book Six (6) Page Seventeen (17) ; Plat Book Six (6) Page Twenty-six (26) ; Plat Book Six (6) Page Thirty-four (34) ; Plat Book Six (6) Page Twenty-nine (29) ; Plat Book Six (6) Page One hundred sixty-five (165); Plat Book Six (6) Page One hundred sixty-six (166) ; Plat Book Seven (7) Page Fifteen (15) ; Plat Book Seven (7) Page One hundred sixty (160) ; Plat Book Nine (9) Page Sixty-nine (69) ; Plat Book Nine (9) Page Seventy (70) ; Plat Book Nine (9) Page One hundred ten (110) ; Plat Book Sixteen (16) Page One (1) ; Plat Book Twenty-one (21) Page Eighty-three (83) ; Plat Book Twenty-eight (28) Page Thirty-four (34) ; Plat Book Thirty-four (34) Page Twenty-five (25) ; Plat Book Thirty- five (35) Page Fifty-two (52) ; of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, and as said Avenues and Place are named and designated in City of Miami Beach Ordinances Nos . 232 and 303. - 1 - The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the City Clerk Plans and Specifications of said improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates , the printing and publication of notices and proceedings , the preparation of bonds , interest during construction, legal services, abstracts , etc. , and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutting property. The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-147 and is described as follows : All of the lots or parcels or land abutting Commerce Street from Jefferson Avenue to Wash- ington Avenue, First Street from Alton Road to Ocean Drive, Second Street from Michigan Avenue to Ocean Drive, Third Street from Alton Road to Ocean Drive, Fourth Street from Washington Avenue to Ocean Drive, Sixth Street from West Avenue to Ocean Drive, Seventh Street from Alton Road to Ocean Drive, Eighth Street from Alton Road to Ocean Drive, Ninth Street from West Avenue to Ocean Drive, Tenth Street from West Avenue to Ocean Drive, Twelfth Street from West Avenue to Michigan Avenue and from Meridian Avenue to Ocean Drive, Thirteenth Street from West Avenue to Michigan Avenue and from Meridian Avenue to Ocean Drive, Fourteenth Street from Biscayne Bay to Michigan Avenue and from Meridian Avenue to Ocean Drive, Fourteenth Terrace from Bay Road to West Avenue, Flamingo Way from Bay Road to West Avenue, Fourteenth Court from West Avenue to Alton Road, Fourteenth Place from Meridian Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue, Sixteenth Street from Bay Road to Washington Avenue, Eighteenth Street from Lenox Avenue to Meridian Avenue and Nineteenth Street from Jefferson Avenue to Meridian Avenue. In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as the length of the street intersections bears to the total street frontage within the district. The Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW=147, and the property against which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated as District WW-147 .
