Briefing 2:30 pm 2017-18 budget education enhancements to be discussed: IB, Agenda planners,
substitute teacher incentive program, VPK year 3, Common Threads Program, Education
Compact clerical support (may also discuss dual enrollment for 2018-19, LCSW 2018-19, Nurse
2018-19, ADL 2018-19)
Discussed City Liaison-Education Enhancement Survey Status for early June and follow up in
early September for October Finance and NCAC discussions

The Committee for Quality Education requests the Miami Beach Mayor and Commission,
through the Education Compact, urge the Miami Beach police department and Miami-Dade
County Public Schools (M-DCPS) police department to develop and vigorously enforce a zero
tolerance drug policy for Miami Beach Senior High School and feeder schools, to be
implemented prior to the start of the 2017-18 school year.
