Selection of Tiva Leser as Chair and Beth Edwards as Vice Chair for 2018-19 2. CMB Sunshine Laws reviewed 3. Mondays with Micky August 27 follow up discussion held 4. Rain Drop Child Care facility use update – Commission referral C4AF Feb. 14, 2018 postponed to next meeting 5. School Bus pilot program update provided with pilot terminated for 2018-19 school year due to lack of interest from community 6. Educational Enhancement approved at April 11 Commission meeting update provided: • Reading tutors (South Point, Fienberg Fisher, North Beach, Biscayne & Nautilus) • Math tutors (Nautilus & Beach High) • Mental Health expansion (South Point, Fienberg Fisher, North Beach, Biscayne & Nautilus) • College Prep Program (Beach High) • After-school programs (Biscayne & Fienberg) • VPK 1 class (Biscayne) 7. September 12 Commission Meeting at 5 pm recognition for mental health providers announced and all QEC members invited 8. Beach High concerns: AP staffing (cut offs for additional AP) discussed 9. Feeder Questions: MDCPS Social Worker (shift from 3 school coverage to 5 school coverage), CMB Police agreement for police in schools discussed. Sgt. Diaz provided information on PD MOU and rules of engagement 10. Youth Job Fair tentatively scheduled for October 5 from 3 pm-6pm SRYC (High School students) 11. Fence around Nautilus and water fountain installation– status and update provided with end of September date 12. Miami Beach Drop off lane - Bayshore Traffic Study Josiel Ferrer postponed 13. Biscayne Elementary request to review L Turn at 75th and Dickens postponed 14. PTA Feeder Pattern Report provided 15. School Board update provided 16.
