Morales, City Manager Date: January 9, 2019 11 Subject: City to Host Employability Skills Work op and Youth Job Fair The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to advise you that the City's Organization Development and Performance Initiatives Department is collaborating with CareerSource South Florida to sponsor an employability skills workshop and youth job fair for youth attending Miami Beach Senior High School. The employability skills workshop will be held at Miami Beach Senior High School on Thursday, January 10, 2019, and the youth job fair will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019. CareerSource South Florida/Miami Beach Center has engaged the following local area businesses to participate in this job fair to connect youth seeking jobs with employers seeking to hire: • Norwegian Cruise Line • Jungle Island • Yardbird Group • Marshalls Lincoln Rd. • Hospitality Staffing • Soho Beach House Hotel • Highgate Hotels • Hilton Cabana Hotel • Michaels Arts & Craft • COMO Metropolitan Hotel • People Ready Staffing • Mount Sinai Medical Center • Food Service professionals • Mathnasium of Miami Beach • The Palms Hotel & Spa • South Beach Group • Crystal Clear Tutors • Marc E.
