Miami Beach Kicks Off Commemorative Tree Program
– Free Plant Giveaway, Landscaping Workshop & Kids Activities –
WHO/WHAT: Trees are a vital part of the community and provide many benefits,
including cooler temperatures, cleaner air and shade. Whether you are
looking to plant a tree in someone’s honor, interested in learning more
about native species or need a little green for your home – join the City of
Miami Beach as they celebrate the importance of our natural environment
on Sunday, February 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Scott Rakow Youth
Center.
“We hope residents will join us at this special event where we will be
unveiling the commemorative tree program, a new way to contribute to our
ecosystem by planting a living tribute,” said Miami Beach Commissioner Joy
Malakoff.”
