A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY' S INCREASE
TO OFFER OF GRANT NO. C-120491020 FOR FEDERAL
PARTICIPATION OF 75% OF COST OF SEWAGE
TRANSMISSION LINES FROM MIAMI BEACH TO
VIRGINIA KEY; AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER
GAVIN W. O'BRIEN TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS
THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, on August 21, 1975, the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, by its Resolution No. 75-14791,
accepted the Environmental Protection Agency' s Offer of Grant No.
C-120491020 in the amount of $16, 719, 750 for Federal participation
of 75% of the cost of sewage transmission lines from Miami Beach
to Virginia Key, and
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency has made an
additional Offer of $4 , 851,259 being Grant Identification No.
C-120491022 , for said project, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Miami
Beach, its residents and citizens, to accept the said increase to
said Grant;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach
does hereby accept said increase to. Offer of Grant in the amount
of $4 , 851,259 thereby increasing the total Offer to $21,571, 009 ,
and accepts, each and every., the conditions imposed by the Environ-
mental Protection Agency to said Grant, and agrees to perform each
and every of the covenants, terms, and conditions of said Grant as
set forth in said additional Offer of Grant;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Gavin W. O'Brien, City Manager,
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute any and all
documents necessary to be executed by the City in connection with
the acceptance of said. Grant and the performance of the covenants ,
terms, and conditions thereof;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that three certified copies of this
Resolution be transmitted to the Environmental Protection Agency
as required by said additional Offer of Grant.

OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY ' S OFFER OF

the provisions of. Public Law 92-500 , made an offer of a grant of
Federal_ assistance to the City of Miami Beach in the sum of
$16 ,719 ,750 .00 as a seventy-five percent (75%) contribution
towards the estimated cost of planning, designing, and construct-
ing sewage transmission facilities from the City of Miami Beach
to the Virginia Key Sewage Treatment Plant, and
WHEREAS , it is in the best interests of the City of
Miami Beach, its residents and citizens , to accept the said grant,
said offer of grant being Grant Identification No . C-120491020 ;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY . THE CITY COUNCIL
OF T•HE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach
does hereby accept said offer of grant in the sum of $16 , 719 ,750 . 00 ,
and accepts, each and every, the conditions imposed by Environmental
Protection Agency to said grant, and agrees to perform each and
every of the covenants , terms , and conditions of said grant as
set forth in said offer of grant, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Frank R. Spence, City Manager, be
and he is hereby authorized and directed, to execute any and,all
documents necessary to be executed by the City in connection with
the acceptance of said grant and the performance of the covenants ,
terms , and conditions thereof, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY •
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that three certified copies of this
resolution be transmitted to the Environmental Protection Agency
as required by said offer of grant.
