RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS FOR BOTH SIDES OF
ARTHUR GODFREY ROAD FROM ALTON ROAD TO THE ATLANTIC
OCEAN; INDIAN CREEK DRIVE FROM SOUTH SIDE OF 39th
STREET TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF CITY-OWNED
MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT AT APPROXIMATELY 46th STREET
AND DESIGNATING SAID IMPROVEMENTS TO BE IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT M-2 AND PROVIDING FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS TO
BE AN ASSESSABLE PROJECT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS
7 1/2, 29 AND 30 OF THE CITY CHARTER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvements is hereby
ordered to be made: The City Commission hereby setting forth its intention
to proceed under Sections 7 1/2, 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
M-2 Both sides of Arthur Godfrey Road from Alton Road
to the Atlantic Ocean; Indian Creek Drive from
south side of 39th Street to 44th Street and Collins
Avenue from 44th Street to north property line of
City-owned parking lot at approximately 46th Street.
To be improved with entrance landscaping and lighting,
flags and flagpoles, banners, bridge treatment, Indian
Creek parks, kiosks, benches, trash receptacles, school
park, street landscaping, and road resurfacing.
As said Arthur Godfrey Road, Indian Creek Drive and
Collins .Avenue are shown on plats recorded in the
following Plat Books of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida: Book 2, Page 47; Book 6, Page 101;
Book 7, Page 161; Book 8, Page 116; Book 8 Page 130;
Book 10, Page 3; Book 22, Page 66; Book 23, Page 66;
Book 25, Page 30; Book 31, Page 9; Book 34, Page 92;
Book 40, Page 47 and designated in Ordinance No. 1201,
and as said Indian Creek Drive and Collins Avenue
have been widened by the City of Miami Beach.
The Director of Public Utilities is hereby directed to prepare and to file
with the City Clerk plans and specifications of said improvement and estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses of
preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence of the
work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates, the printing
and publication of notices and proceedings, the preparations of bonds, interest
during construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses
necessary and proper to conducting the proceedings and work herein provided
' for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutt-
ing property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of such
improvement is hereby designated as District M-2 and is described as follows:
All lots or parcels of land abutting Arthur Godfrey Road
from Alton Road to the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Creek
Drive from 39th Street to 44th Street and Collins Avenue
44th Street to the north property line of City-owned
municipal parking lot at approximately 46th Street.

In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the
Director of Public Utilities is hereby directed to apportion to the City
such cost for lots or parcels of land owned by the City or dedicated to
the public with frontage within the district.
The improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments and
bonds as Improvement M-2 and the property against which assessments therefor
may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated as District M-2.
