Resolution 79-15925 0 .!rj RESOLUTION NO. 79-15925 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH READOPTING RESOLUTION NO. 79-15893 AND AGAIN URGING AND IMPLORING THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO ADOPT LAWS MORE PROTECTIVE OF EXISTING TENANTS IN RENTAL UNITS THAT ARE BEING CONVERTED TO CONDOMINIUM. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, did on the 25th day of April, 1979 adopt its Resolution No. 79-15893 urging and imploring the Legislature to adopt laws providing greater protection for existing tenants in buildings that are being converted from rental to condominium; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach finds that the conversion of existing apartments from rental to condominium has created various problems relating to the dislocation of many long time residents of buildings being converted; and WHEREAS, the Legislature has not yet enacted such laws; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA; SECTION 1: That Resolution No. 79-15893 be and the same is hereby readopted and reaffirmed. SECTION 2 : That the Legislature of the State of Florida be and it is hereby urged and implored to enact suitable legislation which will protect residents of buildings which are being converted from rental to condominium so as to minimize sudden dislocation of such tenants and the effects resulting therefrom. PASSED and ADOPTED this 30th day of May , 1979 .
